Invisalign Teen

If your teen is looking for a discrete way to straighten their teeth, look no further than Invisalign Teen from Boulder Dental Designs. Invisalign Teen is a comfortable way to straighten your Teen’s teeth compared to traditional braces.

WHAT IS INVISALIGN TEEN?

It was designed with teenagers in mind. It is a simple way to straighten their teeth without the hassle of traditional braces. Often, teens want the beautiful appearance of aligned teeth. However, they may not want to undergo years of treatment with metal braces on their teeth. Using Invisalign Teen can boost your teen’s confidence during the treatment.

Your teen will first come into Boulder Dental Designs for a consultation appointment to use Invisalign Teen. During this appointment, they will discuss their dental concerns with the dentists, either Dr. Montoya or Dr. Lai. Then, they will both develop a treatment plan for them. Your dentist will take an impression of your teen’s teeth and then send that impression to a lab. In the lab, they will design the Invisalign Teen clear aligners. Next, your child will visit the dental office for a fitting. Your dentist will instruct your kid to wear the aligners for up to 22 hours daily. Then, every one to two weeks, your teen will return for an appointment where they will receive a new set of aligners. They will get closer and closer to their dream smile with each aligner.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

There are several benefits of Invisalign Teen:

  1. It gives your teen the freedom to eat what they like during the treatment.
  2. Your teen may have better oral health with Invisalign than with traditional metal braces.
  3. Is usually more comfortable than conventional metal braces.

Freedom of Invisalign Teen. Many teens say that they have more freedom with Invisalign Teen than with traditional metal braces. With Invisalign Teen, your kid can remove their clear aligners. Our dentists recommend that teens remove their aligners when they eat and clean their teeth. This means that patients can eat hard, sticky, and chewy foods. Traditionally, you should avoid these foods with orthodontic treatment because they can become stuck in the metal braces; however, with Invisalign Teen, patients can eat what they would like. Additionally, your teen can remove the clear aligners while playing sports or playing an instrument if they would like. Of course, we recommend that patients wear the aligners for up to 22 hours per day.

Better Oral Health. Compared to traditional metal braces, patients with Invisalign Teen typically have better oral health. Patients can remove their aligners when they clean their teeth, meaning they can reach the entire tooth without special tools. Traditional metal brackets and archwires can be bulky, requiring patients to need special tools for good oral health. Even with a routine, your child may find it hard to maintain good oral health with traditional metal braces. Your kid will have better oral health during treatment, but they may also have better oral health after the treatment. Following conventional metal braces, teens often have dental decay and gum disease. Patients that use Invisalign Teen have lower instances of these dental concerns.

More Comfortable. Many patients state that is more comfortable than traditional metal braces. With conventional braces, brackets and archwires are used to move your teeth. These metal appliances can put pressure on the soft tissues of your mouth. Often, patients rely on wax to cover the hard edges of the metal appliances. With Invisalign Teen, patients do not need wax because there are no hard metal edges. Patients even express that the aligners used in Invisalign Teen are easy to remove and place in the mouth.

Invisalign Teen is an excellent solution for your teen to repair oral health concerns such as misaligned teeth and bite abnormalities. For more information about Invisalign Teen or to schedule an appointment, call our office.
