So the most rewarding aspect of being a dentist is just interacting with the patients. It’s not so much the dentistry. The dentistry becomes the easy part. It’s really the relationships that we’ve built over the years. I’ve seen patients for decades, really. And so I get to see families as they grow up. I get to see people start their careers, end their careers, you know, different life changes. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing dentistry. I love changing smiles in different ways, but it’s really, this is a people profession. With me, I’ve worked really, really hard kind of developing our techniques over the years to make it as comfortable as possible. We’re always checking with the patient to just make sure, “Hey, are you comfortable? Are you comfortable? Are you okay? How are things going?” That’s what we’ve come to really promote with our practice and what our patients should expect is top-notch service that’s comfortable for them.

Dr. Montoya received his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of California-San Diego and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Creighton University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Montoya is passionate about staying current on the latest developments in dentistry. To be a leader in his field, he dedicates hundreds of hours each year to continuing education, learning from some of the top dentists in the world. Dr. Montoya also mentors nearby college students who are considering becoming dentists.

Dr. Montoya is dedicated to helping his community and spends time volunteering for a variety of organizations. As a well-trained health provider, he feels a strong sense of responsibility to contribute not only morally but also professionally. Dr. Montoya recognizes the importance of volunteers to many organizations and enjoys offering his time and services. He has been involved with Rotary International and Kiwanis International in the past.
In addition to his community involvement, Dr. Montoya actively supports the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and participates in Operation Gratitude by annually collecting Halloween candy and letters to send to troops. He also takes dental mission trips to provide care to those who lack access. His mission trips have taken him to the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, and he hopes to visit again in the future.
Outside of his volunteer work, Dr. Montoya enjoys many leisure activities, including spending quality time with his family, mountain biking, fishing, reading, golf, tennis, racquetball, photography, travel, riding motorcycles, and relaxing with friends. His greatest passions revolve around his faith, family, and education.
